Freezing fruit pies should be frozen before baking as if they are frozen after baking, they tend ot lose flavor and texture. The fruit pies should be thawed at room temperature for about three hours and then crisped at 450°F or 235°C in an oven for about 20 minutes. If the pie is frozen before baking it might not get defrosted at the right time. It should be baked unwrapped at 425°F or 220°C for 15 to 20 minutes. Then the temperature is to be lowed to 350°F or 175°C for the remainder of the cooking time. I doing so the total baking time will be about 20 minutes more than an unfrozen pie.
