Sorghum molasses is also known as sweet sorghum syrup. It is made from sweet sorghum. It is a natural sweetener with high sugar content, but is very nutritious and contains calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium. It can be used in cakes, cookies, pancakes, and even stir fries. You can use sorghum molasses as a sugar substitute in the following ways:

·     It can be used in any recipe that requires sugar.

·     You may need to increase the amount of the syrup by one third over that of the sugar required.

·     Also, since sorghum molasses is in the form of liquid, the amount of any other liquid in the recipe would need to come down.

·     It can also be substituted for corn syrup, honey, molasses, and maple syrup.

·     Though it is a natural sweetener, it is still a sugar. Hence, diabetics should use this in moderation.

Here is some information on how to store sweet sorghum.
