How can I use Splenda as a sugar substitute?

Splenda contains sucralose, an artificial sweetener that is sweeter than sugar. Being heat stable, it is used in baking and cooking as a sugar substitute. It provides enough sweetness, without giving any artificial flavor. You can substitute Splenda pretty much in any recipe that calls for sugar. You would need to use one packet of splenda for 2 teaspoons of sugar. However, you need to be aware of the following:

·     Sucralose is a chemical which is made by adding chlorine to sucrose.

·     Since it is artificially created, your body may not be able to metabolize it, like it does with sugar.

·     People using splenda have reported migraines, gastric problem, increase in weight gain, and troubled vision.
