Italian cuisine has borrowed many dishes and ingredients from other cuisines and cultures. Like the noodles were cooked by the Chinese for centuries and reached Italy with Marco Polo. He also brought many foreign spices with him which are now considered to be Italy’s native. Even tomatoes were not eaten in by the Italians and were introduced to it by other Europeans. The Greeks and Egypt and Africa have a great influence on the Itallian cuisine. Greeks gave it spices and seafood cooking techniques while the many herbs, spices and vegetables came from Egypt and Africa.
