A meat thermometer is used essentially to check the internal temperature of the meat. A well cooked meat shows the adequate temperature in it. Without a meat thermometer the turkey may be cooked after being stuffed loosely. It must be cooked than the normal amount of time that is taken so that the internal temperature is attained to a safe level.
