Crab meat can be defrosted very easily at home. The best way to thaw crab meat is to freeze it. The crab meat is freezed overnight or during emergency they can be thawed by running under cold water for long time. If refrigerated then the crab meat can be used after 8 hours. Their legs are bended to check if their legs are frozen. If the legs bend easily then it means that they are ready to be prepared. If they still appear frozen then it is better to run under the cold water for another 15 -20 minutes before using.
