The recipe calls for:
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups self rising flour
1 3/4 cups water
I want to substitute cake flour for the self rising flour and need to know what else I would need to do.
You can substitute self raising flour by adding salt and baking powder to your cake flour. To substitute 1 cup of self raising flour, you need = 1 cup minus 2 tablespoons of cake flour + 1/4 tsp salt + 1-1/4 tsp baking powder.
