Sous vide is French cooking style that was developed in the 1970s by George Pralus. This is slow cooking process, which makes use of vacuum sealed bags for cooking. The sealed bags are placed in warm water. Foods are cooked within these sealed bags at a low temperature, in the heat of the warm water. Foods cooked this way are believed to retain the maximum flavor.
