Jambol is basically the fruit belonging to tropical regions and is popular for its anti-diabetic properties. As such it is not made of any kind of toxins, but there are certain acids and alkaloids present in its core that are not much explored.

-          For example, gymnemic acid is one such compound present in it that helps in boosting immune system.

-          It has deep purple colour and this is due to special pigment compounds called anthocyanin. Anti-oxidant property is conferred by such compounds.

-          Polyphenols present in jambol fruit are found to be highly beneficial for arthritis patients.
